The Bramble Patch
Can I bake in my Polish Pottery?
Yes, you can use your pottery in the oven. However, please note that it's not suitable for stovetop cooking or use under the broiler. When baking with Polish Pottery, you'll notice superior browning on bread crusts, pies, and cakes. Many customers find that even without oiling bread bakers, their loaves typically release intact. Can I put my Polish Pottery in the dishwasher?
Yes, Polish Pottery is dishwasher safe. The finish won't deteriorate or scratch during the wash cycle, even after decades of regular dishwasher use. For best results, we recommend using a dishwasher rinse agent to keep your pottery looking brand new.Can my Polish Pottery go in the microwave?
Yes, Polish Pottery is microwave safe. We recommend limiting microwave use to 10 minutes or less, as some microwaves can create hot-spots. This is particularly common with older models or microwaves without rotating turntables. How do I get baked-on food off of my Polish Pottery?
Baked-on residue is common when using Polish Pottery for baking. Most customers achieve excellent results by placing their pottery directly in the dishwasher. If you prefer to pre-rinse, allow the piece to cool completely, then soak it in water for approximately 10-15 minutes. The burnt-on food will release much more easily than with traditional bakeware. What are Signature or Unikat pieces?
Signature Pieces and Unikat pieces are the same. The term Unikat translates to "unique" in English, meaning each pattern is exclusive to one artist. These designs feature intricate details and require considerable time to complete. They're called Signature Pieces in the United States because each artist signs the bottom of every Unikat piece upon completion.
